How Do We Invite Favour Into Our Lives – A Life of Sanctification

A life of sanctification invites the favour of God on our life. Joseph lived a life of sanctification (Genesis 39:7-9). Joseph lived a life of purity and Holiness, no wonder he had the favour of God. The Church of today isn’t walking in Holiness, the fear of God is far from our lives. We commit whatever sin we want with no fear of God. Yet, we expect the favour of God. The world has come into the Church instead of the Church going out to convict the world. Today, there is no difference between a believer and a non-believer. Are we not bringing shame on the name of Jesus? The Heavens are trusting you, looking unto you. We need to walk in Holiness and fear of the Lord. Jesus is coming back, will he find faith on Earth?

When the devil tries to corner you, he leaves a door open. 1 Corinthians 10:13 applies in every temptation. No matter how big the temptation looks, there’s always a way out of it. God is not unfaithful. As a child of God, your duty is to look for the way out. This is where prayer becomes important. When you pray, the Holy Spirit shows you where the door is. Joseph was falsely accused and landed in prison. But you can not lock out a righteous man, Favour followed him to prison because of the Holiness. God is Holy, without Holiness, no one shall see God. Nothing unholy can enter the city of God. You can not sacrifice your life for Holiness and God leaves you just like that. You can not sacrifice your job for Holiness and God just leaves you. God will vindicate us.

Be with God, walk with God every time, don’t walk alone (Genesis 39:2-4).

  • God was with Joseph and because of that, He (Joseph) was prosperous. When you walk with God, God’s presence is evident in your life. These are dangerous days to walk alone without God. Are you walking with God? Do you carry God’s presence with you where you go? It’ll make a difference in your life.
  • The Favour of the Lord will follow you no matter where you are, when you carry the presence of the Lord (Genesis 39:20-23). Whatever Joseph did with his hands in the prison, it prospered. God’s presence will make a difference wherever you are.
